If your results show that your HbA1c is outside the expected range, a clinical team member will call you to explain your results and talk you through your next steps. A written explanation of your results will also be made available on your secure dashboard, and you can download your lab report to share with your healthcare provider.

If your results show high LDL levels, you can start a virtual consultation with our healthcare providers at a time that suits you for just $39. Our providers will confirm if you are a suitable candidate for treatment during your consultation. We can then send this medication directly to your home or prescribe medication to your local pharmacy.

Please note that the medication cost will not be covered by LetsGetChecked.

These tests are not suitable if:

You are under 18 years of age.

You are pregnant.

You are at an increased risk of fainting/ loss of consciousness due to blood sample collection, including if you have an arrhythmia, history of vasovagal syncope or fear of blood.

You have a bleeding disorder, or are taking medication that increases the risk of bleeding including (but not limited to) untreated hemophilia or use of blood thinning medications.

You have impaired lymphatic circulation in both upper limbs.

You have a skin disorder or condition that may result in poor healing, an increased risk of disease or skin ulceration — including (but not limited to) Raynaud's, Scleroderma, peripheral vascular disease or peripheral neuropathy.

Collecting a sample may be more difficult if you have hard or callused skin on your fingertips.

Treatment for high cholesterol is at the discretion of the prescribing clinician. As your safety is our priority at all times, treatment may not suit people with an existing diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, angina, kidney disease, or liver disease. It is unsuitable if you experience shortness of breath at rest or mild exertion. It is not suitable for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

We can provide cholesterol-lowering medication delivered directly to your door in most states but, due to state regulations, we cannot provide medication in every State.

Activating the kit connects you to the unique alphanumeric barcode within your LetsGetChecked sample collection kit. The laboratory cannot process your sample if the kit is not activated and linked to you.

Yes. LetsGetChecked works with a medical practice and its board-certified physicians who have created expert support materials and detailed result breakdowns for your testing journey. Our clinical team is on standby throughout the testing process and, if your test results are abnormal, you may receive a call to discuss your results and next steps.

Remember to collect and return your sample the same day. Each of our health tests includes a prepaid shipping envelope to return your sample to the laboratory.

*Fasting means that you don’t eat or drink anything besides water overnight for 8 hours before collecting your sample. Always follow the advice of your physician with regards to fasting, particularly if you have any medical conditions.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure security and confidentiality of your information, and only share your information where required to deliver our products and services or where we have a legal basis to do so. All samples are disposed of following analysis.

Your samples are analysed with CE-marked tests in the same labs used by primary care providers, hospitals, and government programs.

LetsGetChecked laboratories are CPA-approved and ISO certified, which are the highest levels of accreditation.

Our home sample collection kits are manufactured within our ISO 13485 certified facility, the highest level of accreditation for medical devices.

We don’t accept insurance at this time. We work to keep our tests as affordable as possible and our test costs are generally lower than the costs incurred from a trip to a healthcare provider. We accept many Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) cards. They can be used in the same way that a debit or credit card would be used at checkout.
